Dr. Anna Kharitonova

Dr. Anna Kharitonova is an experienced psychiatrist, practicing at Advanced Psychiatric Care in Brooklyn, NY, Staten Island, NY, and Roselle, NJ. She is dedicated to her profession and strives to provide the best care possible, using skilled therapeutic techniques.
Dr. Kharitonova received her medical degree from the New York Institute of Technology, New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. She then completed a residency in psychiatry at Maimonides Medical Center.
Dr. Kharitonova specializes in treating patients with ADHD, anxiety disorders (panic disorders, PTSD, social phobia, generalized anxiety disorder), depression, insomnia, and PMS/PMDD/menopausal mood disorders. She also performs psychiatric evaluations for weight reduction surgery, spinal nerve stimulator placement, and IVF. She is sensitive to the uniqueness of each patient’s situation and adapts her treatment options to accommodate individual needs and concerns.

Sofia is a Bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). She has over 15 years of experience in a variety of settings and with diverse clients. She works with individuals and couples using Cognitive Behavioral, Сlient-Сentered, Mindfulness, and Art Therapy approach tailored to the unique needs of each new client.
Sofia graduated from Wurzweiler School of Social Work, Yeshiva University. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Finance and a Master’s Degree in Social work. She is certified in working with Alzheimer’s and dementia patients and caregivers. Sofia has Divorce Mediation and Gottman Method Couples Therapy Leve 3 certificates.
